Netflix's bakineering experiment pairs a baker with an engineer and demands desserts that actually work as machines: cakes that roll, launch, float, or survive a stress test. The judging panel is split by discipline the same way the teams are, so a build can nail the flavor and lose on structural failure. The format
Baker-engineer duos build functional edible creations each episode, judged on both the baking and whether the engineering survives its stress test, with teams eliminated until a final pair splits the $100,000 prize.
