About Crime Scene Kitchen

Fox's dessert whodunit is the rare competition show built on a genuinely original gimmick: a dessert has been made and removed, and teams must deduce what it was from the crumbs, tools, and clues left behind before baking their own version. Joel McHale hosts it like a noir detective, and the scoring rewards deduction as much as execution. It is half baking show, half escape room.

The format

Two-person teams inspect a staged kitchen for physical evidence, identify the mystery dessert, then recreate it from scratch against the clock, with judges scoring primarily on accuracy of the identification and recreation. Teams are eliminated until one wins the $100,000 grand prize.
