Amber and Yassmeen After Crime Scene Kitchen
August 8, 2026

Spoiler note: this post confirms the winners of Crime Scene Kitchen season two.
Amber Croom and Yassmeen Haskins won the second season of Crime Scene Kitchen when the finale aired on August 14, 2023, taking the $100,000 prize as a pair of friends and bakery entrepreneurs from Baltimore. Of the show's three champion duos so far, they are the ones who most visibly turned the win into a new business, and their post-show story is the happiest kind to report.
Two founders walk into a mystery kitchen
What made this team distinctive is that both members arrived as established small business owners: Croom founded And 4 Dessert, and Haskins founded Cocoa & Nuts Pastries. That entrepreneurial background showed in how they played the game, and in their finale-week interviews they talked like operators, crediting preparation and process. Judges Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp reward teams that identify the mystery dessert accurately before out-baking anyone, and two working bakery owners turned out to be very hard to fool about what had been made in a kitchen.
Beye Beignets
The clearest answer to "what did they do with the win" came quickly: rather than splitting the money into their separate businesses, Croom and Haskins teamed up again on a joint venture, Beye Beignets. The two have sold their beignets at the Baltimore Farmers Market and have been open about seeking investors to grow the concept. Haskins framed the project as bigger than pastry: in her words, they plan to do great things with it, not just with baking but also to benefit their community.
That community thread runs through most of their post-show coverage. Both women have spoken about wanting their win to inspire the next generation of bakers, particularly in Baltimore, and local media has treated them as hometown champions in exactly that mold.
The honest picture
As of our latest check, the documented post-show record is: two continuing individual businesses, one joint beignet venture in its growth phase, farmers market sales, and an active search for investment. We have not found verified reporting of a permanent Beye Beignets storefront, so we will not claim one. But among Crime Scene Kitchen champions, this duo has the most public momentum, and theirs is the story most likely to have a new chapter worth adding.
For how their win fits into the show's short but growing history, all three champion teams are listed with air dates in our full winners roundup.
